Priscilla Teh

Violinist Priscilla Teh will feature as a guest soloist at CSO & Rova Present: A Night at the Proms on Saturday 18 October as part of our 2025 CSO Young Soloists programme!
Originally from Singapore, and now homeschooled and living in Auckland, Priscilla (age 15) has been practicing violin since she was four years old, studying under Dr John Thomson. She’s earned her ABRSM Violin Grade 8 with Distinction and is currently working towards a Licentiate Diploma of Trinity College London (LTCL) in Violin Performance in 2025.
Priscilla enjoys playing in recitals and participating in music workshops and has been nominated for the 2025 National Young Performer Awards. This September, Priscilla will also be performing as a soloist with the Nelson Symphony Orchestra.
With a keen interest in the performing arts, Priscilla also takes part in speech and drama examinations and competitions, earning Trinity College London Grade 5 Speech & Drama (Distinction). In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and caring for her family’s pets.
Priscilla is deeply inspired by the virtuosity, technique, and folk idioms in Sarasate’s works and looks forward to performing Zapateado Op. 23 No. 2 with CSO.
“I’m thrilled to share the stage with a professional symphony orchestra and feel privileged to be learning from such incredible musicians.”
We’re equally thrilled to be sharing the stage with Priscilla!
